We understand the intricacies that make an executive search process both smooth and successful. In addition to this, we have invested in leading software and the best tools available to ensure that all available candidates are found, giving us the ability to select the strongest shortlist for you. Another USP we offer is psychometric profiling – this can be applied to both candidates and ‘the role’ itself, which can involve assessing the other members of the team the candidate will be joining.

For Executive Search we usually work on a retained basis, but unlike a lot of recruiters we only charge a 30% fee up front. The rest is payable on a successful appointment not on a shortlist. We feel companies shouldn’t pay for the process, but for their desired result.

Joby Read

After a 10 year career in media sales from classifieds in the beauty industry to commercial manager for a leading consumer music magazine, Joby switched to recruitment. He then worked his way from an entry level recruiter to the Head of Recruitment for renowned East of England marketing specialist Brand Recruitment.

Following on from this he launched Zero Surplus as the premier targeted sales recruiter for the East of England, and is now focused on growing Cambridge Talent Partnership through the same tried and tested methods.

Joby’s skills lie in working on and filling more specialist or hard to fill assignments – he has a particular knack for senior analytical positions, roles with language requirements or specialist and often technical sectors such as space, defence, manufacturing and e-commerce.

Roles he has successfully filled range from Aerospace Engineering Lead, Global Head of Analytics, Country Manager – Australia, CEO, CTO, Managing Director and Transport Director.
